Sooo happy to hear that weddings can go ahead . . albeit tiny . . Don’t let this put you off please. Without exception all the bijou weddings I’ve worked on in the last few months have been incredible. Feedback from brides is they were stress free, intimate and most of all . . . happy. You’ll need an anchor point as you won’t want to be losing your veil on a blustery day. Fine slippery hair’s harder to style, so if you’re wearing it down, you might need a ‘half up’ to create your attachment point. Don’t you just love an action shot? I’m always super excited to receive fabulous photos of the wedding morning ‘prep’, not least as this was the penultimate wedding before lockdown. I sometimes forget how hard we concentrate, just to get that perfect curl, balance or shape. It needs to fit with the dress, the make up, maybe a veil, the chosen embellishments and the ‘feel’ of the wedding. On my way out I spotted autumn leaves scattered where Fran and Max were to wed. Love will save the day . . Fran and her beau Max proving this is just so on Saturday when they tied the knot at the gorgeous Orchardleigh Estate. Despite the recent setbacks, they still managed to have the best day and they look so happy! It’s so lovely when the wedding photographer takes some photos while ‘doing’ hair or make up as it’s something we don’t often get - much appreciated @katerichardsphotography . Here I am popping some fresh blooms into Heather’s gorgeous soft blonde twisty hair. It’s what I call my ‘falling down’ updo, often requested by brides. Although the style looks quickly thrown up, a lot of prep goes into making the hair look effortless whilst making sure it isn’t budging.
